As a heads up… talked to the ranger and he said eventually they might change the price to $16 per night. Also, Lassen park was highly affected by fires and because of that, the picnic table areas and tent camping is currently unavailable. You can still park and sleep in your vehicle, and have 24 hour access to the nice restroom in the visitor center (they keep the door open).

This area is underrated, beautiful and peaceful. Lots of picnic tables and fire pits. You just put $10 in an envelope to camp. Bathrooms open 24/7.
