I love that place but I am giving a 4 stars because of one thing… the noise from the road. If you go deeper into the road I am sure it gets not as loud but it is definitely a thing. It is louder than other BLM lands I have stayed at. Other than that, love that location. Looks like some people come here for a bit and are regrouped in small “neighborhoods”, but you can go further away and be isolated. Good balance between knowing you’re not alone and having all the privacy you need. The weather in October was perfect, I was outside even at night, great start gazing. Also happened to be close to a spot with some rocks art that were beautiful. This place feels really safe and you can go on walks/runs easily. I recommend.

So much space to park and camp for a while. Many new friends to meet too! We always have a blast here; it’s a very nice getaway. Don’t forget to leave no trace and use existing fire rings instead of building new ones. Gets kind of windy so bring your stakes and hammer if you need to!
