This is a great BLM trail that has TONS of spots to park overnight near Big Bear. The road is a little bumpy, but my 136 Promaster did just fine.
Super nice! There is a not so bumpy road that brings you to the main section, it's a mountain biking and hiking hub. A very large flat open space, the real roads branch out from there. I was in my trusty Corrola, so it was borderline for me but you could make it. I opted to go back to the big flat area and camp there. Very nice lookout spot. Seems like there are a whole bunch of spots to fit a van/car! Would absolutely come back here, also it's free!
64GM+RC3 Big Bear Lake, California I stayed just in the small parking lot where people come to ride mountain bikes and hike. It was quite busy when I arrived at 4ish PM but just families hiking. The camping area is closed Nov -April but I stayed and there was one other vehicle parked overnight. Very nice and lots of hiking trails to do.
