EDIT: they have recently added no overnight parking signs 👿 No time limit parking, lots of surfers in vans too so there's a good community. Big wide sidewalk by the beach that goes all the way to the pier that is open for everyone. The surf is phenomenal which means that the parking lot can get full pretty quickly. If you come after dark it's pretty open though and then you have a good spot if you're going to go surfing the next day. Tony's pizza is just up the street too. Definitely get a beer and watch the sunset at MadeWest brewing company on the pier.

Great place to park and it’s safe and legal to sleep here, signs are no parking on left from 1-3am and on right no parking from 3-5. We park on the right side and more at 3am to the other side, yes it’s annoying but it’s safe and we haven’t had any problems, make sure you move though because cops come in every few days or randomly and check and they will give you a parking ticket if you’re not on the side that the signs designate, parking during the day is kinda hard to get a spot and definitely during the weekend so you might have to wait or go down to the bridge and see if there is parking under there to wait a bit and walk the boardwalk, if there’s not keep going straight and pass the bunch of table and grills over close to the beach there is street parking for free too in front of the fence in front of the apartments next to the beach, there are grills and tables near that are open to the public and restrooms. Last two parking I said do not park there at night. There is vons grocery store, subway, and ORiley’s right down the road and Tonys pizza place that you can get pizza and set by a fire at night and chill and eat.

Great place if you are okay with moving parking spots in the middle of the night. first spot: "no parking 3am-5am" second spot: "no parking 1am-3am" I was the only van in the lot - no one bothered me.

There are ‘no parking’ early am signs here. Not worth risking for a ticket.
