Really nice place, super laid back. It has a decent bathhouse with plenty of hot water, tent and rv camping. Several picnic shelters and grills, a dumpster, and fresh water all for free. Nice river access is adjacent with picnic shelters and grills on the river. In late November there were a few bugs but nothing that bit me. The approach from highway 10 is mostly paved. The approach from the east has a few miles of washboard. The dogs of other campers roamed the grounds freely, so if you have a small dog or are squeamish about dogs be aware.

Hands down the best free campground we have ever come across! HOT SHOWERS!!!! Amazing camp hosts who had a fire every night and all were welcome. We shared a few meals together and Meg some great fellow travelers! Awesome trails and right along the black water river. Great if you have a canoe or kayak! Lots of spots to choose from and you can stay two weeks every 30 days. I had no service in the campground but if you walked up the road you can get a couple bars no problem.
