Nice little spot to set-up. We were the only people there Saturday evening, though some hunters and boaters did arrive Sunday morning (~6am). The spot is CLOSED to camping/hiking October 15-December 31 and closed to trail leisure activities (runnings, dogs, and etc.) from May 1st-July 31st (due to hunting safety I assume). Some trash scattered around, but very minimal. We slept in the car, but there was plenty of flat ground to throw up a tent, though I wouldn't describe it as particularly soft nor private. Peaceful little lake, nice scenery. Right off I-80, so very convenient, but quiet and no interstate sounds or disruption. Sheriff's truck did circle parking lot around 10pm and again around 7am. Didn't stop or talk to us, but they seem to keep an eye on the space.
