We went a little further down the road from first lot that’s marked to another, less busy gravel lot. Stayed here twice in the past two months and have found it to be a great spot. Not too far off I-80, but not close enough to hear highway noise. Some local traffic but very little at night. Verizon coverage is good. AT&T signal is weaker.

Gorgeous little spot for parking and nature walking near a wild crane viewing area. From I80 take S Alda Rd South ~1.5 mi, then turn west/right on Shoemaker Island. Lot is unmarked- it's the second lot off S Alda. Lot is decently level and next to a pond. Quiet and not very buggy. Good cell reception (Verizon).
