Do not stay here, always shady people around the park at night. Also the train noise is a nuisance

I had a great experience here for a few nights as a solo female. I parked closer towards Ditmars right under Hell Gate and the train activity was minimal at night. The street is a little noisy up until 11pm, but after that was super quiet and peaceful. The ample parking is a dream and the park itself is a totally underrated NYC gem. Beautiful views and lots of outdoor activities. The restrooms weren’t even that bad, and I look forward to taking advantage of the free pool during the hot summer months.

Stayed here one night! Didnt have any issues! Very nice area but very noisy of course its NYC! Couple restaurants nearby. Great park too!
