This was a great site overlooking the city. There were several dispersed sites with fire pits and picnic tables as well as a couple of pit toilets at the entrance. There were only a couple of other people camping here when I stayed. The road to get in is nice road base, but is steep-a 17% grade. I didn’t realize this, but my 2WD transit van made it up. I also had 2-3 bars LTE and was able to maintain pretty decent cell service. I will definitely stop here again if I’m traveling through Oregon. It’s mid-July and it’s incredibly HOT everywhere. It was in the high 60’s here compared to high 80’s everywhere else along my route.

Amazing spot with a great view looking down on La Grande, for free! There were pit toilets and about 8 sites with fire pits. It fit our small camper van fine. There is a steep 17% grade hill to get up to the campground which we made fine with 2WD but I wouldn’t want to tow anything up there. No freeway noise, just a little windy being at the top of a hill.
