Lovely area at about 5000 feet with tons of camping spots on side shoots off the main road. Further in on the off shoots can get sandy with large rocks and fewer spots to turn around for big rigs best to scout then out before traveling down. Several trailheads for hiking or biking to choose from with pit toilets. The road is a bit bumpy on the way in but highly passable for any type of vehicle. It may get really muddy past the first trailhead after a rain since the roads change from sand to dirt there.
