I was looking for a campsite late at night but all were full except this little pull out which was fine since I only needed a spot for a few hours to rest. MP 9 - large gravel pit camping spot for several vans / RVs / etc. Totally trashed - cans, broken glass, a queen mattress tossed into the woods, etc. I filled 2 trash bags and felt like I didn’t even touch the area. Bummer since the proximity to Mt Rainier is unparalleled. Near MP 7, there is another larger area for bigger rigs. Otherwise, you’ll find tons of pull offs that are level for rigs. Closer to packwood, many with river access and plenty of walk in campsites. Overall, this area receives A LOT of use. Tons of TP all over the place since many spots are geared towards camping. They have started adding port-o potties all some turn outs. No Verizon cell service. Starlink would struggle, maybe it would work at MP 9 gravel pit.
