Dispersed camping, with established sites on the south side of the highway. Parking in the lot off the highway is permitted as well. Pit toilets and lots of information about the area. Trailhead for lots of hikes across the highway. Road to most spots is pretty rough and high clearance is needed, but I carefully got my campervan in the first spot. Beautiful views of Mt Shasta! Several others here; suspected high use.

Here in the spring time- bunny camp is snowed in, but there’s a makeshift camp setup in the trailhead area. Not very level, but it’s 4 feet of white snow around a makeshift parking lot. No bulk trash dumping- Besides, there’s a pit toilet and a great view.
