Panoramic views at the north end of the hill. Gravel entry from south end gets bumpier. First couple sites are suitable for trailers if skilled to select good lines on the way up. High clearance 2WD required past the 3rd site. 4WD needed if looping over to east side

Panoramic views of volcanic craters and painted desert in the distance, at north edge of hilltop. Semi popular Fri/Sat nights but still a very quiet area and clean. Amazing stargazing. Gravel entry, first right off 418, then gets bumpy on up. Initial few sites are suitable for trailers if skilled to select good lines, flat landings, sharp little volcanic rock but did not puncture. No flying insects in summer, just beware of ants if ground dwelling. High clearance required past the 3rd site(dont descend into the crater center if low CL). 4WD needed if looping around the top to east side- one steep climb and some deeply washed out spots at an angle
