Did not stay here. But it is pretty clearly listed on the way in that you are only allowed to be here 1/2 hour after sunset without a permit.

Beautiful spot but you are not allowed to park here overnight. Got a visit from a nice park Ranger in the morning. He did not give us a ticket but did give us a warning.

You can either park on the highest point or go down the road a bit and there is a larger parking lot. No signs saying there is no overnight parking, plus we were joined by at least two other rigs before sunset! Beautiful views and just the sound of the ocean all night.
