Giant parking lot across from Esker beach (dogs allowed on leash!). There is a sign by the waterfront that says no overnight parking, but we parked all the way back by the trees. The lot gets dark at night and there is a train that runs by (didn’t bother us at night). We parked as far away from street view as we could. There were even a few cars that parked overnight with us. Be stealthy, but we had 0 issues! Esker beach is across the road, allows dogs (on leash) is FREE, has an entire lawn area w shade, picnic tables, bbq grills (think you need to reserve those). All in all an amazing spot AND free parking all day (no time limit signs anywhere)

Just got the knock... The officer was super friendly and didn't want to ask me to leave but that city as a whole is not letting vanlifers to park basically anywhere. 😩 So this spot is a no go now 😣

No Overnight Parking here or the smaller lot across the street. The Town of Groton does not allow overnight parking anywhere in Groton. Nice area in the daytime though.
