Rest stop and welcome/information center that permits overnight parking. In the daytime, it's a beautiful location right on the Erie Canal with a walking path, a playground and two enclosed dog parks. It was fairly noisy as there are train tracks just on the other side of the canal and it is right off the NY Thruway. Inside, there are several vending machines containing perishable and non-perishable local products including sandwiches and wraps, cheese, snacks, canned coffee, kombucha, chocolate, and various healthier than a typical vending machine food options. From 9-5 there is a manned coffee bar as well as a 24 hour coffee machine (though that was out of order when I was there Sept 2021). Bathrooms were very clean. This rest area is only accessible via the toll road. The truck area is separate from the car area. Several truckers parking overnight but only a couple of cars.
