In the National Forest so it's free. Organized camping area with pit toilets, fire pits, and picnic tables. Right off 64! This is our go-to spot on the way west from VA.

Fantastic NP campground right on the river and just up the road from the Sandstone Visitor Center. Lots of spots so even when the NP is busy you're likely to be able to find a spot here.
