The lake is great for paddle boarding, but it’s basically runoff from the silica sands of the park so not necessarily great for swimming.

Great place to spend the night. Plenty of lakeside parking.

Fairly quite, many vans and trailers. Clean. Plan to stay here a couple of nights.

This is been a great place to camp. I am an artist and just require a beautiful view. Not only do I have beautiful views here but the campers around me are respectful and quiet. I can handle the sound of the planes on a regular basis no biggie.

great spot. even with many other vans/campers/tents around it was very quiet. could barely hear road noise and there wasn't much action at the AFB.

The lake is great for paddle boarding, but it’s basically runoff from the silica sands of the park so not necessarily great for swimming. Reports from late 2020 indicate the area was closed per the air force base commander. Leave a review if you are in the area and can update on current conditions.
