Hawk Springs State Recreation Area is a small recreation site administered by the Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites & Trails Division. The site consists of 24 primitive campsites, which are walk-up only, picnic tables and fire rings, boat launching ramp, boat dock, restrooms and playground.

The location is easy to find with Google maps with limited cell service once you arrive. It's quiet with easy access to the water for boats, kayaks, and SUP boards. As always with Wyoming, there was a slight breeze when I stayed but was warm enough in the sun. There are fire rings at most campsites with plenty of space for tents. Bathrooms are porta potty style. Not quite swimming weather yet but can't wait to return later in the summer for a quiet beach hangout spot!
