Awesome free camp spot. Road is a little Sandy but not too bad.

Quiet, beautiful spot
This is the sketchiest looking at first - turned out to be the most AMAZING spot I parked at, so far! In the city at least. I suggest checking it out while it’s still light, so you don’t get stuck in sand or worse, drive over a rebar or other debris. But, it is super quiet despite more than 10 cars parked here. And seems like you can stay however long and possibly even cook outside. The view is mixed: casino, nice beach and also the pavement around you, destroyed by hurricane. Oh and the little lighthouse!
Lots of space, great views. Super windy but that’s the beach!! Oh and it’s free and no late night knocks
Stayed for the night and it was nice. It felt a little shady at first, but turned out fine. A few others stay and some fishing. Cops rolled through a couple times and even waved. That felt good.
Real nice and quiet. You do have to watch for old rebar from old building destroyed by hurricane Katrina. But nice view of beach and water. Fishermen gather in the morning but they don't bother anyone.
Great spot and amazing views. Watch for old metal debris in the sand but other than than easy sand packed road leading in.
Pretty cool spot. HOWEVER, solo travelers (especially females) should know that there looks to be about 15 junkies living here. As well as a pimp/prostitute… Again super cool spot, but be safe.
Just arrived and it’s a great spot to park. About a dozen people fishing. Great view and super quiet.
