This is a Protected Grasslands area just outside of town. This means you have to stay to existing paths, roads, parking area....etc. Some activities are prohibited. You are allowed to dry camp in the pull offs though. We spent one night and did see rangers patrolling often. There are several pull offs available for 1-2 vans each.
