Flat hard open space near a water tower. The rest of the road in has a big berm of sand to navigate over. This is a solid, flat area with no berm that has a road that leads to other sites. Please park as far away from tower as possible. No road sign. Just passed RR tracks. The only space we felt comfortable driving our van over- (no 4 wheel drive) we’ve gotten stuck in California desert sand before.. if your more adventurous there is plenty of camping around as well. Windy. Slight faint train noise. Close to Route 8.
