Much better than the entrance a quarter mile down the road. Less busy, easier to get to a spot especially if you are 2wd. Also don't need to drive through as many permanent residents and over a dry sandy creek bed.

Aside from the views of the Superstition Mountains, this is a terrible spot. Hackamore Rd is not maintained and is basically a dirt bike track. The jeeps and dirt bikes rev their engines at all hours of the night. There is some sort of mine on the other side of the road; they start work well before sunrise at 5am. So by the time the OHVs stop, you have a few hours to sleep before the constant beeping if trucks. The mine also blasts the ground with dynamite without warning, which is terrifying if you don't know it's about to happen.
