Tons of spots to pull off the dirt road and camp. Just beware it's about 4 miles on a bumpy dirt road to get there.
We pulled onto a dirt road that said 4 wheel drive needed to go through. We went as far as we could and parked somewhere flat. It was pretty! No one around. We saw a few cars pass through driving pretty fast on a nearby dirt road. A horse trailer pulled up next to us in the morning and two women got out and took off on horses into the middle of nowhere. We explored a bit on foot and found really neat canyons to walk through. They reminded us of huge sand drip castles. Some random trash left behind in these canyon areas and lots of little sand mats flying around and flying into the van so it was difficult to leave the doors open—so that was the only disappointment for 4 stars out of 5.
