This is lovely spot… if you find a spot!!! There are only 3 designated campsites. Two were busy and one was closed. We stayed in an “unofficial one” and got a visit from a forest guard. He let us stay but said usually they close the spot and don’t let people stay there to allow grass to grow again. Other than the few spots available, it’s beautiful out there. The air is crisp, beautiful trees, easy to access, hikes near by and quiet. Highly recommend!

This is a nice spot, stayed here Friday after Thanksgiving, arrived late no one here. Saturday though saw a fair amount of traffic. Different types id views all around at all these campsites depending on your interests (ie Ranches on one side, Mountains, great for nightsky gazing. Only minor noise from Apple Valley Road
