Street parking outside of Chautauqua Park. Weekdays seem best as it’s free all day/night. Weekends, pay during the day. Parked inside the park during the day and moved to street parking at night. You will get asked to move if you park inside the park overnight. Park is pretty busy but it’s a very nice area.

Was woken up by the police around 12am and threatened with a ticket as apparently it is illegal to camp here overnight. Made to move. Not a fun experience.

We’ve stayed here a handful of times and have seen other vans. Free overnight parking during the week—if it’s a weekday you’ll have to pay to park during the hours posted. This is only during the summer months. Cars from by here pretty fast down from Flagstaff so that can be annoying for light sleepers. Beautiful view with lots of hiking and climbing right there in Chautauqua park. There is also a restroom and drinking fountain/water bottle refill at the main trailhead and visitor center area.

Amazing spot to stay the night in Boulder. It’s a little confusing if you’ve never been here. The only signs for no overnight parking are in the lot, along the streets the spots are legit for overnight according to the signage. I parked up top near the general store, had a peaceful night. Noticed at least one other van stayed the night too. And then I went for a gorgeous hike when I woke up. They also have private bathrooms. Excellent spot!
