I’ve stayed here twice in the last few years, using it as a hub for access to Rocky Mountain National Park. The campground is relatively cramped, and expensive, but the location is fantastic. Downtown Estes Park is only a few minutes drive down the road, and the National park is only another 5-10 beyond that. Across the street is a gear shop with some climbing walls, keeping my happily entertained on days we didn’t venture into the park. A half an hour walk will bring you to a nice dog park, if you’re traveling with a pup.
