Amazing spot!! The road up is washboard in some places but overall manageable in any rig. We stayed in a section of campsites a short distance before the trailhead where this pin is dropped, some of which require higher clearance. this particular section had a good 5-10 spots. We weren't completely level at our site, but the views were some of the best we've found while dispersed camping in Colorado. The early autumn colors make everything that much prettier. There is a pit toilet at the trailhead but nothing available in the camping areas before or after that. No trash collection, please pack-in pack-out so we can keep these places open! This is a high altitude location, so expect chillier temps and a bit of wind. Great AT&T coverage, decent verizon LTE coverage.
