Stayed in D12 ($26), no hook up—fire ring, picnic table and bathroom/dumpster/recycle/water close by. Great spot as no one is on the west or north of you. D5 seemed to be another good spot for that. Beaches are beautiful, no dogs allowed on any beaches but I found a secluded spot off a trail to enjoy with my pup. The fort and batteries are neat to walk around. The road down Pickens is great for bike riding.
Great campground near the beach. Lots of walking trails right from the campground. Also fun to walk through the old military fort ruins.
Love this spot! The beaches are beautiful white sand, the camp spots are fairly large and almost have power and water. There’s no price difference for sites with no power. We paid $40/night which is a bit high, but worth the location. We stayed here a few years ago and it seems like they’ve made some improvements to their facilities since then. Close access to explore the fort and pristine beaches. Laundry, showers, restrooms, recycling (!) and trails for hiking, biking etc. Oh and service good enough for zoom calls! 🤳🏽🤩
Huge campground and little privacy but surprisingly quiet (until the Blue Angels started practicing! Check their schedule online). We got an available spot in the C loop a couple of weeks in advance, and which was mostly RVs. Free hot showers, $2 to wash/dry laundry, electric and water hookups, dumpsters and a dump. $40 for this spot (water/electric). Close to the Florida National Scenic Trail, which we hiked to explore the Nature Loop in the area. Such a beautiful spot with so much wildlife!
Beautiful beaches. A couple of good shady campsites (B6 is good for tents/no electric)
