*Spooky alert*. This campground is situated in a quiet, cedar forest, very clean and safe BUT take a stroll on the trail and you’ll discover it’s located near a cabin ruin with a placard telling of the family who all died within a week of each other of ~mysterious illness~ (probably flu, let’s be honest). One of the campsites is within steps of the father’s headstone. It’s weathered and barely legible but it’s there! There are 8 primitive first come, first served campsites that can accommodate RVs up to 30 feet in length, each with table, fire ring, and lantern post. There’s drinking water, vault toilets, and hitching rails for equestrian enthusiasts. Dog friendly and not far off the beaten path for a quick overnight stay.
