Awesome place but the federal rangers are a pain... I've seen the bias they treat different campers... Big luxury RV and Fifth wheels rarely are bothered. Meanwhile before I got to my 14th day I was already being hassled about only being here 14days. Other POC have been arrested for doing what non POC are doing like walking dog without a leash... Not allowed but they pic and choose who they bother. Can be very nasty in approaching people But the location itself is good just keep your eyes open. Really good signal, but sometimes can be over crowded. Keep your dogs on a leash here... Not just the rangers but lots of coyotes

Beautiful & quiet, spot with many possible camping locations. The location here that I chose is a bit more sketchy because the roads pitched down roughly 15% and runoff from previous rains created ruts. I was able to go down slowly in 2WD and didn’t scrape, but a high clearance vehicle would be recommended for the location I chose. Fingers crossed on the way up… probably 4L. 90% of the spots are no issue as they are flat and the road is great.
