A Great spot to spend the night. Stayed on a Saturday night with one other van an a class c motorhome. Great places to camp with covered picnic tables, grills, fire pits and trash cans. Several pit toilets spaced around the small lake. Near Billy the Kids grave and Fort Sumner.

Spent 2 nights here in a windstorm. It was so nice to have some place to park when gusts were over 50 mph. The lake is lovely and people were catching catfish. There is also a playground for the kids. No water, but pit toilets and garbage cans were a win! Visit the Billy the Kid museum and grave while you’re here. Everything else was closed when I was here on Monday and Tuesday.

Birds are great. Gets a little loud at times. Nice for a night.

Natural beauty. Fishing at the lake and the birds before sunset are wild!
