Great spot. Gorgeous views, close to Albuquerque but not urban in feel. When you arrive, if you stay overnight in the main parking area you will have lots of traffic waking you up. Hikers and mountain bikers park here snd start early. But if you go further up the road there are more private spots. Make sure you park correctly if you stay in the main area. We parked perpendicular to the parking directions (not knowing the nature of lot when we staying at) and felt like jerks when people were arriving and parking around us the correct way. Enjoy the sun!

Only noticed later sign upfront specifically says no car camping. You have to get out and there is much to read and easy to miss. Pritty location.
