Great little parking lot with river running behind it. Porta potty n trash cans, also WiFi in that area. Was safe n secure, quiet and well lit.

There is really unlimited parking all over this amazing, TINY town. This parking lot has a sign that says you should register if you are parked for more than 24 hours, which is easy, but according to the locals also not necessary. The Appalachian trail goes through here, so the whole town is very "stranger" friendly. Bathrooms in the visitor center. Portapottys and trash bins everywhere. Vanlife heaven if all you need is hiking. No Verizon, but free WiFi everywhere

Public parking lists free overnight parking and register if you’re longer than 24 hours. Lot has lights and security cameras so it feels safe if you’re concerned. Free wifi in town, but poor cell reception. Lots of foot traffic from the AT.
