This is a gravel overflow lot for Zilker Park which is a huge dog park and chill place with a beautiful view of the downtown skyline. Parking seems to be quite relaxed around here as long as you stay out of downtown. Even there you can park overnight but with more stealth work required. Very nice and quite spot across the river from downtown Austin. Stayed here one night with no issues. Train came by once overnight.
Used to have no overnight parking signs but now there are day use only signs everywhere.
Pulled up late and there were a handful of camper vans parked. Quiet night but I did get a knock at 9am saying overnight camping was not permitted. Told past 10pm curfew there could be citations given.
