Great spot to camp when you are arriving in the dark. We went to 1.2 mi from the Hwy (above the trails access area). Plenty of room to let our dogs run. Easy access and great view in the morning. Quiet. We were here end of January and no ATVs but it’s obviously a popular spot. The stars were out in full last night. 12 degrees this morning.

Pretty, Private & Accessible This site is great.. just minutes from town but feels very remote & scenic. During the day there’s some ATV traffic but it’s quiet at night. ATT has two bars of LTE, Sprint says it has full service but doesn't work at all.

Can be loud and if wind is blowing it’s a dud bowl
