BLM dispersed camping
Visited in April so hear wasn’t really an issue. This is close to Goosenecks State Park (also worth a visit for sure). It’s a cool spot with awesome scenery. If you’re up for a walk you can get down to the San Juan, too. No cell service. No one drove by when I was there but I can imagine it might get busy.
Overnight stay. Hot tonight, June 22 2021. Or it would’ve gotten 5 stars. No one else around at night. Others during the day to take pics of the Mexican Hat. Primitive camping. No water, no toilets. Pack in, pack out. We screamed and enjoyed the echos coming back. Kinda hoping we would hear a response. But we enjoyed screaming like kids again. Beautiful sunset and the views of our surroundings were special.
