We found a review to stay here and we drove around the park unfortunately didn't find any parking at the park but down one of the roads near the park. Plenty of space and no issues all night. We stayed here prior to going downtown in the morning and it worked perfect. Only about a 15 minute drive to downtown DC.

Free overnight parking in beautiful old town Alexandria. I parked here for three days when I was in town for a wedding. When I pulled up there were cops on the corner and they saw me park and did not seem to mind. Obviously I used my a gray water tank the whole time and used LNT principals. The people where very nice and open minded believe it or not. Great place to visit!
