UPDATE: As indicated by the reviews, they don’t allow you to sleep here anymore like they used to, because they said they had too many people using it. 😐 It’s still a great day parking spot to explore the area from though!

I got my window pounded on @ 11:45 p.m. and told I could not stay in this 72 hr gravel lot by a private security guard. I did have a bike on the back of my Metris van. So I’m unclear which lot it is okay and free to stay overnight in your van.
Can’t park here. Got kicked out by security in less than an hour. They said they had too many people parking last year.
Great spot to park when visiting Anacortes or waiting on the ferry to the islands. Most is 72 hour parking, some 10 day spots and there are RV reservable sites as well. Very close to the farmers market on saturdays during the summer. 5 bars LTE verizon and at&t.
This is another parking lot for campers and RVers, located around Cap Santé Marina. This one is gravel, unlike the one closer to the main office, but there it is much more spacious. There were a couple Westfalias, a couple truck bed trailers, and an RV there when I stopped by. The signs in this area indicate that this area is limited to 72 hour parking, not 10 day parking like it is nearer the main office. Additionally, the large blue sign in this parking lot (pictured) indicates that if tent camping in the grass areas, and possibly if RV parking in this area, you are required to at least inform the main office of your parking spot, if not have to pay some sort of fee (did not follow up on amount). This parking lot is, however, closer to the public restrooms and showers, as well as public dumpsters, and the hiking trails that lead up to the breathtaking Cap Sante panoramic overlook. This parking lot seems much more like an actual "campsite" parking lot. All three parking lots near Cap Sante Marina are mere minutes away from all of downtown Anacortes, with grocery stores, a post office, restaurants, adorable local thrift stores, hardware stores like Sebo's, and every other shop or store you could want. Also nearby is the Anacortes Maritime Museum, not to mention a lot of great restaurants just a few blocks away in downtown Anacortes! I personally highly recommend Anthony's, which is also right on the water; it is a slightly pricier fine dining seafood restaurant, with excellent food and magnificent views!
