Great spot to camp at the bottom of the mountains. You cannot camp here legally in the summer but in the winter months, you can use it as a Sno Park. Requires a Washington Sno Park pass (get it back in a larger town).

Wide open lot with many rigs camped. Some say you can’t “legally” camp in a sno park however I’ve done it several times across many in WA without issue & always pleasant interactions with rangers. No cell service No toilets (PACK IT OUT IF YOU DONT HAVE A TOILET!!!!!!!!) Need a sno park pass in the winter 25 min to glacier (coffee shop, quick food, no gas) Perfect Basecamp for mt baker area
Camping here in the summer is legal. National forest pass required (or sub America the beautiful), discover pass is not valid here. There is a day-use picnic spot across the river with a pit toilet. Please don’t camp there and ruin it for everyone else. It’s a 30 second drive or 2 minute walk. No water access, limited cell service (T-mobile worked in and out), and right next to the highway. Overall safe place to camp for hiking in the area.
