This campground is only open to those in hard sided campers due to bear danger. There is another campground across the river for tents that that is protected by a tall electric fence.
We only stayed here because it's the only option in the area. The spots are very close together with little privacy and also expensive.

This centrally-located campground is a great base camp for exploring Lake Louise, Banff NP, and Yoho NP. It’s also a 15-minute walk to the nearby shops and market. Pretty quiet most of the time, with the exception of the train that goes by several times day and night.(By our second night the train was hardly noticeable.) This time of year a lot of the bathrooms were closed, but the showers (where open) are nice and clean. The only other downside is that the campsites are close together, as most spots are two sites back-to-back. Honestly, it didn’t bother us though! Price in US is around $27/night for electrical (no water hookups, but can fill up at dump station). All in all, we had a great stay here!
