Pull off on side of Highway 1. Called "zebra field" on Google maps. We were sent here by a park ranger after he knocked at our original spot. Several cars, vans, and our 40 foot bus parked here no issue. Can sometimes see cows or zebras in the field. Traffic is loud during day but quiet from about 11-6.

This was an ok place to stay. It is a wide dirt pull off next to a field. After having dinner at the near by San Simeon Bar and Grill, we pulled in around 9:30 pm. There was a fifth wheel set up with slides out so figured it would be fine. No knock, decent sleep. There was some road noise but mainly around 6am. Unfortunately we did not wake up to zebras in the field but the stargazing was incredible.

Slept here last night no problem! Limited bathroom options near by - we asked at the mini mart. It was through the connected restaurant and lounge.

It's as good as you can get for the side of the road. No knock night! I unloaded kayaks and folded out our RTT for the night. Listening to zebra snorts, waves and traffic. Went to town and ate breakfast.

Stayed without issue. Saw a couple of zebra in the morning.
