Stayed all night no problems. Lots of road noise, but good spot if you are driving south to the Avenue of the Giants. Cell service is slow.

Didn’t actually sleep here, but read reviews from other places about it and stayed for a few hours. It’s just off the road (still slightly visible f/ road) and just enough space for some vans to pull up- no amenities or tent areas. Epic location-wise as literally moments from the Avenue of the Giants (there’s a sign w/ details). Would definitely feel safe- was there in winter and no one around, but it was a rainy weekend (hence why we didn’t stay, drove north to avoid the rain). Can stay “up to 8hrs”, but can easily see folks staying one night more than 8hr no problem.

This is a Vista Point pull off from the southbound side of the highway that allows overnight parking up to 8 hours. No bathroom and not much privacy. We stayed here all night, joined by a couple of logging trucks and RVs.
