I absolutely love this camping spot. I was here on a weekend and it wasn’t too busy. Plenty of shaded parking. I found a spot to set up camp on the beach, and with my tent still in the shade. You can walk north along the white sand beach and find driftwood scattered along the shore and shell mounds from the natives who lived here many many years ago. My dog was with me and we weren’t bothered. Be warned that while the bathrooms are “kind of” clean.. the water in there smells like rotten eggs. Kind of slaps you in the face when you walk in. If you can manage the smell, using the facilities is fine but I found myself going in the woods more often than not. The sunset here is absolutely beautiful. Being on the west coast with no obstructions, you can watch the sun set from the pier, or from the beach. Because of the lack of population in the area, there isn’t much light pollution, so it’s a great place for star gazing as well.
