Pretty and quiet army corp is engineers park tucked in to the corner of the city. Honestly the 5 star rating is for the people--EVERYONE we met at this park was so friendly and nice! Also there's an alligator in the marshes near the entrance!! We stayed at site 35 which is one of the furthest sites from the restrooms but it was spacious with a great view of the bayou. Electric and water only, bathhouse with flush toilets and private showers, and a dump station. $22/ night reservable on the recreation app. Cell service on Verizon okay; it was workable but not the best. Sprint just alright. We also saw quite a few raccoons and an armadillo.
