Big rest area to stay on pavement. Cross the cattle guard on the north side of the lot into a massive BLM field and put it park wherever you'd like. Road goes back as far as you want. Dirt road condition doable for most all vehicles, field is flat and a bit bumpy. Exposed, so keep an eye on your weather.

You can drive off the rest stop area onto a dirt road into the hills and park wherever you want. The dirt road might need some clearance. It's a beautiful area and it's always fun to go off road. Quiet and peaceful the further you drive into the hills.
