Great dead end spot to stop. Vanlifer strip for sure. Well lit and safe despite being next to a warehouse. Public Rest rooms a block away at the park

LOVE VAN ALLEY! Super easy to find parking or wait at the end just a few for someone to leave. Friendly nomads living there more long term. Some trash and loud music of people that come to sit in their cars. Feels safe regardless. Amazing skyline views, dog park with water front views, restaurants and bars to walk to. Can walk to the subway for further travels to explore NY! Can also rent one of the many Lime scooters around.
I lived at this spot for like 6 months. Ditto on the other review tho.
Lived here for 6 weeks. Other than the occasional loud music listed great place to stay.
We parked our van here for 2 days/nights for free. It’s in a great location in Williamsburg walkable to great restaurants & bars! Super convenient to nyc too only about a 20 minute drive. At night some people working on their cars & playing music would congregate but we didn’t mind at all & they were gone by the time we got back from a night out. Highly recommend this spot
Yes yes yes❤️❤️❤️ Love this spot!!! Stayed here for 4 days with no issues!! Great location, nice parks nearby, restaurants nearby!!! Tons of others parked here also Van/RV/Bus/Ambulance!!!
Stayed here after I picked up my van from Brooklyn Camper Vans. Noise from airport and some music at night but fairly quiet. Good Parks and Food nearby. Great Verizon reception and Starlink InRoam getting 190 Mbps Download & 15 Mbps Upload. Recommended.
Stayed here for almost a week :) it was very nice. The first day people were blasting music, so it was a bit difficult to fall asleep. However, the area is very nice and I didn’t have troubles after that. It’s also semi close (about a 10 min walk) to the subway so easy access and there are a lot of cute shops/dining areas around. I did move my van once, for street cleaning, and I had no troubles going back afterwards.
Closed for good. RIP Van Alley
