This is a beautiful spot in the Pisgah National Forest. Dense tree coverage, marked for camping which is very important on this route. 2x4 vehicles can get here. It’s relatively level and we backed in and used leveling blocks under the driver side rear tire. Fluctuating service with AT&T, from zero service to 3 bars. I wouldn’t recommend anything larger than an extended 170” sprinter try to find spots beyond the very first pullout in the forest.

FR74 is closed seasonally so call the Appalachian ranger district ahead of time. Follow the directions through Dillingham until your reach the dirt road, which is FR74. DONT turn right on Ranger RD which is a dead end, after the gate it gets pretty steep but front wheel drive should be fine during the open season
