Great beach driving and overnight parking. You'll need a $10 pass from any store, good all year. Head to The Big Store for a bathroom accessible from outside the store, if you need a toilet and sink. Be mindful of the tides!!! We hade to move our van at 5am, tide came in much further than we expected and from what we thought were previous high tides. A local said 2 weeks ago it came 30ft into the street and a bunch of rvs got totalled. You can also park on the street next to the beach, if you want to avoid any issues and keep your van cleaner from sand. Also, search for the local car wash and be sure to rinse the underside of your van if you are on the beach at all. Sand and salt will destroy a car fast! Overall, this was such a fun place to stop. Dogs allowed on the beach! Oh, and don't be surprised if locals in golf carts and big trucks drive by at night...it is Texas afterall!
