Great spot to camp. Stayed here in my Jeep Wrangler for 2-weeks with no worries or hesitation. Super quiet. Access to a variety of trails in the GW National Forest. If you hike back the trails a tad (Macnutten Trail in either direction), you’ll get 2-3 bars of service via AT&T vs the 1 to none on the road. I work full-time and would drive to either Carillon Park to use my hotspot or Ralph H. Dean Rec Park for free wifi where I could do zoom calls and all with no worry (park next to the back baseball fields concession stand for optimal wifi) or great network service 3-4 bars. Great wildlife in the GW NF (Barred Owl, turkey, deer) and also in proximity to Shenandoah National Park
